Sunday Brunch....Christian Siriano + Payless = A Wedding Must Have

Happy Sunday Budget Brides!!

Sunday is a great time to do a little shopping. Whether it is flea markets, the mall or yard sales. The weather is getting better and better as the calendar flies by. Do you love shoes as much as I do? Here is a post you will need to mark your calendars for.

I had to hold on to this amazing find for 7 whole days. So as we all know Christian Siriano has collaborated with Payless on a venture to bring fabulous shoes to budget brides and fashionistas everywhere. Well as I was going about my sunday routine of find new blogs to follow I stumble upon this amazing blog. I can't wait for Fall 2010 to roll by so that I can be the first to have a pair of the beauties below. This shoe is absolutely great for weddings, engagement party, rehearsal dinner and really just absolutely all things weddings. I think that for a bride on a budget this shoe can definitely rival the SJP Manolo Blahnik pumps from the first Sex in the City movie.

The shoe above is called the Cabriole and will be available this September exclusively at Payless. Not quite sure what the price will be but in looking at Christian's previous collection must of his shoes are under $34.99.
Definitely go to Payless.com and sign up to receive emails so when this great shoe comes to the market you'll be the first to get them.
As seen on P.S. I Love This
Have a Great Sunday!!!

Sunday Brunch...

Happy Sunday Budget Brides!!

Today is such a beautiful day in NYC. I have a couple of things to do and Mr. Budget worked overnight last night so we won't be able to enjoy much of the day together. But hey that is the way the cookie crumbles. I saw the card below here and thought it was such a cute idea. The wedding planning process has always been an event that completely takes over your world until that special day. Now you throw in blogging brides and a bride may never get the time just to sit back and relax. I thought this was a cute card to invite your hubby - to - be on a Sunday picnic. You can find this card on Etsy made by Lovely Little Nest.

Planning a wedding is such a stress process take sometime today to spend with your fiance. Maybe visit a museum, take a walk in the park or get massages. Whatever you do leave the planning at home and just make it a day to enjoy each other.
Have a Great Sunday!!

Sunday Brunch: A Budget Bride Should Always Say THANK YOU!!!

Happy Budget Budget Brides!!!

No matter if you are in the beginning, middle or end stages of your wedding planning process you should always send a note of thanks. Whether it is to a friend who helped you secure a great photographer or to a relative who completely saved your budget by providing you with a service for free. Ashley of Ashley Brooke Designs provides a perfect out to say thank you in a fabulously fashionable way. Ashley has designed these postcards to help you tell that special someone how fabulous you think they are.

The cost of the postcards are $25 for 10 postcards and a portion of the proceeds will go to cancer research. Also fyi, postcards can be customized to fit your complexion and hair color.

Okay Okay!!! So I know that I am preaching the whole say THANK YOU movement. So to be a person of my word, I am going to gift the guest bloggers from last week the beach bags below. Last year, while working for a bride (planning her wedding) we were able to acquire these beach bags as part of her welcome bags for her New Jersey Beach Wedding. So I picked up a few more for a bridal shower I was also working on as well as 5 more for a possible giveaway for the blog. See below on where I purchase them.
I purchased these bags at a store called Five Below in New Jersey (such a great store for a budget bride). They have great things in there if you can find one near you. I was even able to get a yoga mat for $2. So this will be my gift to them. Normally I would not give a gift to my guest bloggers, but this was a much needed vacation and I really appreciated them for helping me out.
So support Ashley Brooke Designs, find a really cool gift or for the absolute budget bride write a sweet note to say thank you to the people who have helped you during the process.

Sunday Brunch: Budget Saving Ideas With Aluminum Can Centerpieces

Happy Sunday Budget Brides!!!

The weather is getting more and more gorgeous outside. But let's face it, it's still pretty much freezing (at least to me) in NYC. So not every Sunday is going to be the chance to relax in the park or have an amazing brunch with friends. But one thing a budget bride can do when trying to save money for the big day is cut cost in the floral centerpiece department. I found this beautiful idea why blog surfing on one of my favorite wedding decor sites and I just fell in love.

Yes!!! Budget Brides the idea of using either decorative or plain silver aluminum cans is amazing. They are a budget friendly opportunity to add a little character to wedding day decor. Now this may not be a Sunday where you can relax and enjoy the weather but it's an excellent day for a scavenger hunt.

Here are some tips on where a budget bride can collect aluminum cans:

  • Start at home.... Anytime you use an aluminum can rinse it out and save it
  • Spend a Sunday going to your community restaurants and ask them for their unused aluminum cans
  • Visit a soup kitchen and volunteer in exchange for a few aluminum cans
  • Call all of your friends and family asking them to save their unused aluminum cans
  • Lastly, walk through your neighborhood on garbage night and look through the recycling bags for unwanted aluminum cans

Here is an article from ehow to help you along the way.
