It's been such a long time since I have blogged. I know that I have popped in and out always saying that my posts will comeback more frequently. However, now I have decided to commit to at least 3 posts a week. So leave a comment letting know what you would like to read about and I will do my best to create content around those interests.

I will also blog about my own wedding process since I was recently engaged in November. This is an exciting time for all of us. So let's share experiences and enjoy the journey.

If you would like to contribute to this blog as a guest blogger. Please leave a message in the comments and I will be sure to reach out to you.

Name Jacked!!!

Happy Tuesday Budget Brides!!!

I know I have been MIA for a while but November is an exciting and tough month for me. If you guys can think back this time last November is when my grandmother died. About 12 years ago my other grandmother died in you guessed it right in the month of November. Then just last week a really good friend of mine died at the young age of 28 years old. So as you can see my month has been crazy while also planning a birthday party for myself. Actually the last few months have been crazy and I have really not been about to really focus on The BBH's business.

So now to the title of this post. Budget Brides we have been NAME JACKED. Yes because I did not realize that the subscription had expired and the credit card that I had on file was no longer valid, we have been NAME JACKED by a UK company. These blood suckers want me to pay them $5,000 to get the domain name back. So I had to put myself on pause...... For one I don't have $5k to pay nobody for a domain name and for two it's my damn name. So now I have the daunting task of thinking of a new name and all new everything. I have been going over a few options in my head.

Here are a few options that I was thinking about.....

Let me know which on you like the best and it just maybe the new name of The Budget Brides Handbook.

Tomorrow I will post a lessons learned about this experience. Hopefully it will help some on self.

A Note From The Editor: Ten Things About Me

Happy Monday Budget Brides!!

I hope all of you ladies had a great weekend. I have been looking over this blog lately to see where I can improve and make this blog better for myself and my readers. By the way I LOVE my readers!

I also noticed that this blog really doesn't say much about me. So I have decided to compile 10 items to let you all into the crazy world of me.

1. I am an emotional eater and shopper. Let my emotions get out of whack, I will gain about 5 pounds and my bank account will be empty.

2. My fear is failure. I am definitely scare to go out on a limb because failing will devastate me.

3. My favorite shopping places are Loehmanns, Home Goods, Target, Marshalls/TJ Maxx (post layoff). Pre-layoff: All the stores listed above including Lord & Taylor and Banana Republic.

4. Mr. Budget is my best friend. He loves me unconditionally even when I smack him in the jaw while he's tickling me.

5. I will be a Nittany Lion till the day I die. Go Penn State!!

6. I have declared 2010 the year that's all about me. Not in a conceded way, but I am going to do what makes me happy because when it is all said and done I have to be happy.

7. I am lusting for a pair of Louboutins. Red soles are just so sexy.

8. While being unemployed I gained about 30 pounds. Depression is no joke.

9. God is my beginning, middle and end. He is my everything.

10. I LOVE BUDGETS, BLOGS & WEDDINGS.

Sunday Brunch...Happy LOVE Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day Budget Brides!!

Since most of the day will be spent on over priced dinners, chocolates and lots of flowers. Be thankful for the love that you have and the love to come.

For those who have not found the love they want see below for a few suggestions to not make this day so mushy.

Tips for the having a great Valentine's Day without a partner

1. Go to church.... Church always makes me feel good. Go to church and give god thanks.

2. Have a beauty day. Go get a mani, pedi and your hair done. You never know who or what you may find along the way.

3. Shopping with the ladies. Participate in a little retail therapy. This makes any girl feel amazing.

4. Volunteer at your local shelter and give a little love to someone else.

I will be spending this Valentine's Day alone because Mr. Budget is doing a double. So I will definitely be using tips 1 & 3. Hopefully, me and one of my besites can throw in a mani - pedi.

We'll Be Back Soon : A Note From The Editor

Happy Wednesday Budget Brides!!

I wanted to address to you all the reasons why I haven't been blogging within the last two months. My life has been through many ups and downs since March 13, 2009. This was the day that began the downturn of my life. I lost my job at a well known furniture and jewelry retailer who ended up going out of business. I know many of you would think well this was the perfect time to begin blogging with a passion. Well my passion of blogging, business and life in general began to decrease more and more. Now I have found myself a little over two months out of my original layoff date and still unemployed. Not only have I been unemployed for almost the last year but a very special person departed this Earth on November 20, 2009. I lost my friend, fighting partner and confidant in my grandmother Mrs. Lucille Wright. So life has just not been the same.

I know that many of you maybe wondering why I am sharing all of this. But I truly love and appreciate my readers. In not leaving you hanging, I just felt it was super important for all of you to know that I have not left or forgotten you. However, life does happen and sometimes it hits us a little harder than other. In saying all of this, I am pushing past all of my negative feelings and getting back to the old me. In 2010, The Budget Brides Handbook will begin a new beginning and we are looking to all of you for amazing support.

Thank you for taking the time to read my heartfelt note.......

Yours Truly,
Sharise
